Yellow & White Poncho
Do any of you have kind of a wardrobe “uniform”? Those pieces you tend to gravitate to both when you are shopping and getting dressed in the morning? For me…it’s anything black. I actually won’t allow myself to buy any more black tops right now (unless of course I NEED it :)) because really…how many black tops does one gal need?? (Actually, don’t answer that. I don’t want to know).
My point here is…black is my uniform. I feel confident in it and love how it pairs with almost every other color. I also have a soft spot for colorful statement earrings and classic pieces like a good denim jacket and cognac boots…all of which always coordinate with a basic LBD. I have added in other colors over the years, but still tend to reach for a black top or black dress when I’m in a rush or need something I know I’ll feel good in.
So, when I saw this adorable poncho my first thought (besides that it’s PERFECT for Georgia Tech games) was that it would look so cute with either a black body con dress or a solid tone on tone top and bottom. Obviously I went for the latter here, and then I also paired it with a navy sweater and jeans for Tech’s homecoming. This little poncho is so cozy and perfect for adding a little something extra without getting TOO warm! This outfit is a sharp contrast to a similar one I wore back in the spring…which do you like better??

I paired this poncho (that also comes in a pretty coral and an olive green that is so amazing for fall) with the comfiest black tee I own and my favorite black jeans. These classic pumps are my go to heel – I buy them over and over again once I wear out the heel/tip of the toe. I just think they are so timeless and go with everything from work wear to date night!
