One of my favorite things to do on the weekend is to find a new recipe and have a date night in with Blake. We pour some wine, divide out the prep work, and chat about our weeks while we create the meal. Spring is such a beautiful and symbolic season. After the dreary, cold days that seem to linger on and on throughout the winter, I look forward to the warmer weather and blooming foliage with excitement. We used to have a HUGE Bradford Pear tree in our front yard, and as soon as I saw the buds popping up I knew spring was on its way. Unfortunately, last fall a huge storm caused our Bradford Pear to split right down the middle (apparently this is common with these trees – they grow straight up and get too top heavy to support themselves, causing them to split and ultimately die…who knew?!).
