Gift Guide for The Guys

Is it just me or are the men in your life the hardest to shop for?? They are either super picky on fit/style or they are overly practical and don’t want a lot of extra “stuff”. My dad is by far the hardest to shop for and I definitely rely on a wish list for my brother. I start mentally filing away ideas for my husband all year and typically end up with a combination of gifts he asks for and gifts that are a total surprise.

I had a few requests for a gift guide specifically for men, so I rounded up some of Blake’s favorite gifts/purchases over the years. He has most of the items of the list below and just gave the round up a once over with a follow up “approval nod” 🙂 Hopefully this is helpful as you are shopping for the men in your life!

One – A Brooks Brothers polo is such a classic staple for guys to have in their closest. Although a bit pricey, this polo fits great, is made well, and is appropriate for both work and weekend wear.

Two – If any of the men in your life have multiple watches, this is a great option for storage. This one is simple and matches most decor, but you could also find a monogrammed box for a personalized touch.

Three – I rave about this product every so often on my insta-stories, but it really is such an awesome gift idea. Truth be told, Blake actually bought this for ME last year, but anyone who enjoys iced coffee (or chilled whiskey, wine, etc) will be amazed at how quickly this little contraption cools down your beverage. Seriously…you need it.

Four – You can’t go wrong with a classic watch. The leather straps and tan face make this the perfect watch for any occasion.

Five – If any of the men in your life enjoy a nice glass of whiskey (or really any liquor), they need whiskey stones to keep their beverage chilled without watering it down. This set kicks it up a notch with a pair of glasses and a set of tongs which make it a foolproof gift for any guy.

Six – I bought Blake a Peter Millar pullover as a gift earlier this year and was so impressed with the quality when it came in. It also is a bit on the pricier side, but it’s a nice upgrade to any man’s wardrobe.

Seven – Blake has had a pair of Clark’s boots/shoes for years now that still look brand new. He says they are crazy comfortable and somehow look good with both khakis/slacks and jeans!

Eight – This Contigo auto seal coffee tumbler keeps your coffee warm for hours and is officially the only way Blake drinks his coffee these days. It also is spill proof, thank goodness, because Luke knocks it over multiple times a day. If you have a Keurig, make sure to stick with the 16oz version…the taller ones don’t fit under the machine!

Nine – This Patagonia fleece looks so cozy and is another classic staple to add to his wardrobe. This one is surprisingly affordable and comes in a few different colors!

Ten – If you have a man in your life who loves running or has a long walk to work, this beanie has their name written all over it. Not only is it sleek, it has bluetooth speakers built in so you don’t have to worry about grabbing your headphones own the way out the door!

Eleven – This Yeti mug will round out their Yeti collection OR start them off if they don’t have any! It’s a great price (right around $25) and will keep their coffee warmer than their current mug.

Twelve – I bought Blake a Herschel duffel several years ago and it still is in amazing shape. It comes in classic color combos and has a separate section on the bottom for shoes and/or dirty clothes!

Thirteen – When we got an Amazon Dot, I thought it would sit on our shelf and never be used. But we use it surpassingly often – for everything from playing music while we cook dinner to playing a round (or two) or Jeopardy  to wind down at night.

Let me know below if you have any other gift ideas for the men in your life!

xoxo,

Lauren
