Striped T-Shirt Dress Five Ways
If you add one thing to your closet this year…it should be a striped t-shirt dress! This little dress dress is such a workhorse – I wear it on the weekends, to work, to church…literally everywhere. It’s so easy to dress up or down and goes with so many things that I already have in my closet. I’m a huge believer in purchasing items that you can wear multiple times and multiple ways – we all work hard for our money and I don’t want to waste time on something I’ll barely wear!

The first way I styled this dress was with my favorite midi skirt – it’s navy and pleated and I twirl every time I put it on. It’s flowy enough to fit over the dress without bunching and elevates the t-shirt up a few levels. I paired this outfit with classic nude wedges and red statement earrings for a pop of color.

The second way I styled the dress was with a utility vest. I love adding a “third piece” to my outfits to add interest with an additional layer. I’d wear this look to brunch or even to work – I work in a corporate environment but we are able to dress fairly casually which I love. I added casual sandals here but would also love this with cognac boots or booties in the fall!

Next up I added a light wash chambray button up and tied it up to create definition at the waist. I kept the accessories neutral here but added a chunky heeled mule to dress it up a bit. I finished it off with some white tassel earrings to add another visual element.

I’m lumping the next two outfits together as kind of a mix and match casual option. This is my favorite way to wear this dress and you’ll find me in it with sneakers on more often than not. During the Spring and Fall, I wear my jean jacket constantly when the weather is cooler in the morning and at night. I’ll swap out the sneakers for sandals occasionally, but love the laid back vibe the sneakers bring.

Oh wow, I love how versatile and adorable that t-shirt dress is! You can dress it up or dress it down however you want. Perfect for spring too since you can layer it and make it transition from the cooler to warmer weather.
