Weekend Recap – April 9th
Happy Monday, friends! I definitely am needing an extra cup of coffee this morning after several nights of not so stellar sleep from our little munchkin. Our weekend was pretty low key which means I didn’t end up with a lot of pictures, but it was a fun one because of a special visitor!
Friday
Blake’s sister, Ali, came into town on Friday afternoon and it was so fun catching up with her! She is currently living in Charleston and was able to drive up Friday during the day so she was home when I got back from work. Having family around for Luke is so important to us, so I’m glad she was able to come visit for the weekend! We kept it pretty low key and picked up dinner to eat after Luke had gone to bed.
Saturday
Our Saturday morning wake up call came early again so Blake and I got up and played with Luke until it was time for my barre class. I seriously love taking barre at my local studio (Elevate Fitness) and it just starts my weekend off on the right note when I can get it in first thing Saturday morning.
After class, I grabbed a quick shower and Blake, Ali and I spent the rest of the day at home taking it easy. It was a pretty dreary day here in Georgia so we just hung out and knocked a few items around the house out (it seems like no matter how many loads I do, I ALWAYS have more laundry to either wash or put away. It’s never ending with a baby!!). We had Taco Mac for dinner and all ended up going to bed pretty early.
Sunday
Sunday morning was also an early one – we’re struggling to get Luke to sleep better throughout the night. We were up a good part of the night and I felt like a zombie all day Sunday…aka drank all the coffee. I stayed home with Luke while Blake caught an early Orange Theory class and then grabbed us all breakfast from our favorite local bagel place, Brooklyn Bagel. Ali left to head back to Charleston a little before noon and the good news is we will see her again in about a month when we head down to watch her graduate from College of Charleston!
Sunday afternoon was a lazy one after running a few quick errands. We scoped out the offerings at Pike’s Nursery so we can plan what we want to do in our backyard next weekend. We cleared out a bunch of old plants last fall and now are ready to finish it up! I also ran to the grocery store to prepare for the week – I have a fun and easy weeknight meal planned that will be coming to the blog soon 🙂
Hope everyone had a fun weekend and has a great week this week!
xoxo,
Lauren
